Philanthropy

When life happens, we find ourselves realizing we need to take a pause to reflect on the energy we put out into the universe. Since 2022, BURN has taken on a philanthropic approach to give back to our community. Every year, we host two fundraising events to support causes dear to us.

Almost there Rescue

We’re dog lovers at heart and for all the dog lovers out there, we host a fundraising event every April to support Almost There Rescue, a local organization dedicated to saving mama dogs and their pups, providing care and enrichment, and finding forever homes. Visit their website for more information.

Check for a Lump

In October, we host our other fundraising effort to support breast cancer awareness and this one is a little close to heart. During COVID, Jen McNeely, a long-time BURN instructor, discovered a lump in her breast. Her subsequent path and journey to her breast cancer diagnosis and treatment was more of a family affair with those of us at BURN who are close to her. Jen’s affiliation with Check for a Lump, a local breast cancer organization, providing free breast health education, mammograms, testing, wigs and support led us to continuing the effort to raise awareness to a cause that has likely touched us in one degree or another.
