Philanthropy

When life happens, we find ourselves needing to pause and reflect on the energy we put out into the universe. Since 2019, BURN has adopted a philanthropic effort to give back to our community by hosting two annual fundraising events to support causes dear to us. These are donation based classes where 100% of proceeds go to the organizations below.

Almost there Rescue

We’re dog lovers at heart and for all the dog lovers out there, we host a fundraising event every April to support Almost There Rescue, a local organization dedicated to saving mama dogs and their pups, providing care and enrichment, and finding forever homes. Visit their website for more information.

Check for a Lump

In October, we host our other fundraising effort to support breast cancer awareness and this one is a little close to heart. During COVID, Jen McNeely, a long-time BURN instructor, discovered a lump in her breast. Her subsequent path and journey to her breast cancer diagnosis and treatment was more of a family affair with those of us at BURN who are close to her. Jen’s affiliation with Check for a Lump, a local breast cancer organization, providing free breast health education, mammograms, testing, wigs and support led us to continuing the effort to raise awareness to a cause that has likely touched us in one degree or another.
